The purpose for developing this site was to help grow the building inspection community throughout the State of Utah. While the number of state-licensed inspectors has already decreased by 15% since 2009, a recent statewide study found that we will likely lose more than 50% of the current state-licensed inspectors within the next 10 years.
The purpose of this website is to help those that want to get into the industry, and to help those that are already in the industry to improve their credentials and knowledge. These training sessions have been developed to help individuals prepare for the International Code Council (ICC) certification exams for residential and commercial inspectors. Please note that these sessions are meant as an aid only, and each individual should plan on spending a significant amount of time on their own to study prior to taking the ICC exams. For helpful information on how to prepare for these exams please click here.
- The Bonneville Chapter of the ICC for sponsoring this endeavor and applying for the funds necessary for this training to occur.
- Farmington City for providing a great location for these sessions to be given and recorded.
- The State of Utah’s Division of Occupational & Professional Licensing (DOPL) for providing partial funding of this program from the 1% Surcharge Funds on all building permits.
